There was no reason to take the steps down to the bank of the Seine, to the quays, but the idea struck, so off I went. And there, where there were no cars and almost no one else, I saw these rings anchored into the wall. (See the big picture.)
I guess like anything in life, it is the paths you take that take you to the things you find.
It's so true, and you never know what you might see. Nice capture.

I think the rings are to tie up barges along the river.
